couponing in the holy land

Frugal food shopping for the Anglo Israeli

About me

Welcome to my blog.

I am a former serious couponer who made aliyah several years ago.  I still have heart failure every time I go to the supermarket and leave with a (relatively) astronomical grocery bill.  Every time I come home, I think, “there must be a way to save money at the supermarket.”  I have been on a constant search to find deals and savings to help feed my family of 8 (people and pets).

Inspired by Cheapskate and other sale sites, I decided to create this blog.   My hope is to provide a service for fellow Anglos in navigating the sales, coupons and other savings programs to help us all save money.  I welcome tipsters!

I am interested in speaking to you in regards to a speaking engagement ( in English) in Rechovot and you and your blog. Would you be interested? we are a group of Anglos 50+ that meet weekly, as social/volunteer group. Regards, Sue

Yes, that would be great. Do you have a real name or do you go by Frugal Food Shopper/Couponing in the holy land. I should also mention that we are a mixed group of men and women and religious to non, is that ok? I think that you run an interesting and resourceful blog and it would be fun for you to speak about how you started it, how your blog is helpful in Israel, and anything else you thing might be enjoyable. The planning committee meets in the 28th of August and I should have date for you then. Regards, Sue

Shufersal Deal has a great deal on Samsung 10.1 Android Tablets. NIS 999, which is about 20% less than best price on Amazon. It’s in the monthly flyer. Good until mid October.

    Love your blog!

I also love your blog, and certainly gain from all the information and coupons. However, when I tried to “like” you (there was only one other), it put me off because it asked for my e-mail address , etc. but then wants a code number. I don’t mind giving any information, but setting up a code no. is such a pain.
Anyhow, keep up the good work!

    • Hi Shayna!

Thanks for your input! As far as I know, the only place to “like” my blog is on Facebook. In WordPress you can sign up for email updates or RSS feeds. I am not sure what the code number is- maybe because you aren’t registered with WordPress? Try one of the other options and if you are having trouble, let me know.

  7. Hello, how do I submit a coupon to your site? Thank you!
